My Birthday

I was completely prepared to have my birthday go fully unnoticed by the world around me. There are so many other things going on in the world and with everyone's lives, why would they remember me? Rick is out of town, the people at work are busy, my friends have thier own lives and families to attend to... who am I to matter.

Well... I was wrong. I do matter. To a lot of people.

My mother dropped off a flower arrangement and a card at my work. These came shortly after flowers and a huge teddy bear were delivered from my husband. I got the sweetest, silly e-mail from him as well. Phone calls all day from my friends all day long. The new designer who is taking over for me brought me a fudge covered brownie with chocolate bits stuck all over the top. The sales person I work with took me to lunch and 9 other folks from my office came along too. I was so touched! Another lady in the office bought me an amazing candle. I was all so touching. Even my friends from afar left greetings on my favorite website. They all remembered.

So thank you all for being there for me. I was expecting the worst birthday ever and got the best I ever could have hoped for.
